Au revoir, Blue House Blog. Au revoir, “List-en up!” Au revoir, Angie’s List magazine.
After nearly two years of working at Angie’s List, I’m both sad and happy to say I’m moving on. I’m sad because I’ll no longer be producing content for this blog, the Angie’s List podcast, or the magazine. I’ll be sad to wave goodbye to the wonderful people I’ve worked with. But I’m happy because I’ve been granted a wonderful opportunity at the Humane Society of Indianapolis, where I’ll be sharing their mission with the community and helping homeless animals find families - something very near and dear to my heart.
Though I’m not moving away from home like Amy did a few months ago, this transition is still bittersweet. Organizations with a company culture like Angie’s List are rare, and I’m fortunate to have been a part of it. Few successful companies can boast that they host events for their employees like soap box derbies, employ a full-time personal trainer for their staff, and help the local community, too. It’s no wonder the company’s considered one of Indiana’s best places to work.
Though I’ll no longer be an employee of the company, I’ll remain a loyal member of Angie’s List, as I’ve realized that it’s truly a service consumers shouldn’t be without — especially in these uncertain economic times, when few people can afford to waste money on bad contracting jobs or unprofessional service providers.
So even though I won’t be working at Angie’s List any longer, I know the List will be there for me when I need it — just like I’ll be there for my former coworkers when they need a furry four-legged friend.

You’re leaving!?
I would try to convince you otherwise, but I know you belong at the Humane Society. I know few people who are as passionate about animals.
It’s been fun. It’s been wild. We’ll miss you around here.
I’ll miss you guys too. I’ll especially miss your regaling us with your wonderful stories, Mike. Like the time you got bit by a lizard. Classic!
I’ve been doing the Weezy Millionare for the last week!
Seriously, sorry to see you go buddy. We should hang sometime in Broad Ripple. You’re almost like a neighbor (separated by a few miles and many city blocks).
What’s going to happen to the podcast?
I’m always up for the Ripple.
The magazine department’s online team (or if you’re feeling extra dorky, E-Team Alpha) will be taking the reins of the podcast. Stay tuned! Big things are coming, I’m sure
